February has seen more work on infrastructure from Ikey's side.
As part of this work, he's put in a fair bit of hours working on our moss-format
codebase, most of it related to improving the compression/decompression efficiency in moss archives (moss .stone and stone.index files).
Ikey has also accepted a job that involves working as a Staff Engineer at an open-source friendly organisation (MZLA Technologies Corporation, responsible for the Thunderbird e-mail app). Said org allows and even encourages work on other open source projects, meaning that Ikey is free to keep working on Serpent OS.
Meanwhile, Joey has added bit of functionality to boulder
, Reilly has worked diligently on package recipe updates and Fabio has researched a misfeature in our boulder
and moss-container
build workflow related to mounts, which -- once fixed -- will allow us to build packages inside systemd-nspawn roots.
Rune has been doing background admin stuff, including capturing issues for future development work and adding a onboarding/create-sosroot.sh
script, which will hopefully be useful in the context of testing all the above work in native serpent os containers/VMs.
