How do you like the D?

Back when Serpent was announced, Ikey Doherty was excited to implement the tooling for it in the D language and gave it much praise. A couple years later, how has your perspective on the language changed if it did at all? Do you still enjoy working with it, is it as productive as you hoped it to be and most importantly - how do you deal with library scarcity?

I admit I am fishing for success stories here. I am interested in the language, but its low adoption scares me a bit.

In summary, it keeps getting better is my impression.

There's a coordinated push from the D Lang Foundation to improve the following:

The quality of the D language and its toolchains
The maintainer situation (DLang now has dedicated, paid maintainers to help with bug fixes and maintenance)
The library scarcity/lack of consistent focus situation
Marketing in the "show people what DLang can do" sense (i.e. showcase its quality and versatility)

I know @Ikey has been appreciating DLang and its functionality more and more as time has gone on, but I'll let him answer for himself.

Still loving the D. Don't worry about the adoption or memes. It works for us and upstream is actively maintaining it.
