We all know building an operating system from scratch and all the infrastructure alongside it (taking the lessons learned from the past and applying it to the now and future) takes a lot of work. Which is putting it lightly.

All of that said, where would you like to see SerpentOS in 2023?

Things to think about:

If you are a developer, what strengths from other operating systems (Linux or otherwise) provide substantial value-add that you would like to see exist or improved in SerpentOS? e.g. podman, toolbx, more use of systemd-nspawn, specific toolchains, etc.
Are you wanting specific desktop environments? Or are you too cool for all that and just a roll a TWM?
Is there software you feel should be packaged in the repo or is it less relevant to you with the existence of Flatpak?
Where do you sit regarding Wayland vs Xorg, Pulseaudio vs Pipewire?
Generally speaking, what good things would you like to see carry over? What bad things would you like to see avoided?
