Preparing for takeoff

It really is that time. Over the course of the next few days I plan to have our infra online.
Last night we enjoyed some initial success - getting Avalanche to build packages from git on instruction.

Next steps, flesh out Vessel and Summit for a PoC "volatile" collection (unstable repository).

I just want to get a quick feel - who's interested in packaging, and who is interested in testing?

Currently working on GH commit bot stuff for the -devlog channel, as the current situation doesn't give enough visibility on commits across the org.

Also working feverishly on the onboarding documentation such that new packagers coming in know where to start and how.

I don't think I'll be able to reliably be a package maintainer due to time constraints, but testing is definitely something I'd love to contribute to.

I enjoy packaging more than performing tests. I wouldn't refrain from testing if help was needed, but consider it lower priority for me.

I'll definitely be packaging some things myself, at least to give it a try! I'm usually easily overwhelmed by the complexity of package building (and if not then I'll be overwhelmed by the package manager itself *cough* ❄️ *cough*), but hopefully I can play around with at least a few tools and Wayland compositors.
